The New Nike HyperAdapt Shoe Is Bringing ‘Back To The Future’ To Reality

Nike just unveiled their latest project, the sneakers with self-lacing technology, and are planning to sell later this year during the 2016 holiday season. This is their way of staying on top of the increasingly tech driven athletic market.

Nike has popularized the idea of self lacing shoes since the release of their prototype for the 1989 film, “Back to the Future Part II”. Now it’s coming to reality!

The HyperAdapt trainer 1.0 shoe has a sensor in the hell that adjusts the sneakers to fit the foot. There are buttons on the side that allow you to loosen or tighten the laces. Nike has been working on this shoe for years as well as a new app that functions as a combined workout and shopping destination. The sportswear company plans to achieve a $50 billion in revenue by 2020.
