With the release of the Star Wars Episode VII: The force Awakens last year, demand in Star Wars Legos has skyrocketed. The Danish Toymaker posted a 25% increase in revenues and a 31% increase in net profits.
Not only was there a huge demand for Lego’s Star Wars products, people kids also loved the Ninjago and Disney princess products.
In 2015, the company launched 350 new products, becoming the largest number they’ve ever released. Lego became the world’s biggest toy company in 2014 after the premiere of The Lego Movie.
