September will be the last time the gates of Russo’s International market will be seen open, as declared by the company.
After many considerations and reconsiderations, Phil Russo and Dave Russo, the co-owners of the firm decided that it was the best of interests to be closing the doors on the prestigious business, which was first opened in 1905 by Italian outsider Giovanni Battista Russo.
Originator G. B. Russo began the business as a path for individual workers to get their staple sustenances.
The market, at 2770 29th St. SE, has practical experience in new and arranged gourmet nourishments, olives, oils, shop meats, universal wine, brew, spirits, and kitchenware.
The organization opened a 4,500-square-foot showcase downtown, at 241 Fulton St. W, in 2017. The store shut following a year as the organization decided to re-center its endeavors around the first store.
Clients are welcome to stop by the market to bid farewell, utilize any extra gift vouchers or simply think back with the proprietors.
The declaration comes around 15 months after Russo’s reported it was shutting its supermarket in downtown Grand Rapids. The second store at 241 West Fulton Street had been open for around eight months.
Russo’s International Market on 29th Street will shut down at some point in September.
