Why More Young Americans Are Living with Their Parents and Not Their Lovers

More and more young adults are living with their parents in this modern age, rather than their significant others. This is creating a change in societal trends due to the fact that 32.1% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 34 are either living with one or both of their parents. This is the first time since 1880 that more young Americans are living with mom and dad compared to those living with their lovers. It may be due to the decrease in marriage overall because young people are delaying marriage or are foregoing the institution all together.
